Understand the inputs, boundaries and review trail behind an energy performance indicator.

Define the indicator

For an illustrative production line, define an EnPI as electricity consumed divided by accepted production units in the same period. Record the meter boundary, unit definition and exclusions. This example is not a measured customer result.

Establish the baseline and relevant variables

Choose a representative baseline period and review output, operating hours, product mix and weather where relevant. A simple ratio may be insufficient when these variables materially affect consumption. Retain the model definition and the reason for any baseline revision.

Follow the action into the review

An example report should show inputs, missing data, indicator values, baseline comparison, assigned action and follow-up period. Ask Enlogy to demonstrate this trail with your metering structure and reporting responsibilities.
